Hi friends & family,
As you may recall, five years ago I spent 6 months at The Salam Centre for Cardiac Surgery in Khartoum, Sudan, working with the non profit organization, EMERGENCY. It was an experience I still reflect on, and one in which I continually am grateful to have had. In the time since then, I remain involved with EMERGENCY on the board of directors.
You may recall that I ran the LA Marathon last year, finishing in 4:39. It was my first marathon ever, at the age of 40, and this year I am running the LA Marathon again, only not for me alone, but for EMERGENCY and The Salam Centre. I am running as a charity runner for the LA Marathon, and I reach out to you now in a request to support EMERGENCY through me and the LA Marathon! My goal is to finish the LA Marathon this year in 4:00 or less, which would be a 39 minute improvement over last year. I am asking everyone in my circle of family and friends to contribute $25 to that end. We all can do so much more together than ever could alone, and I will run the 26.2 miles. My ask is that you support EMERGENCY.
Thanks!
Kyler Hunter
